How to reach Kinnaur? Transport options?

Kinnaur does not have its own airport or railway station, so you'll need to combine air/rail with a road journey.

🚗 By Road (Most Common Option)

From Delhi

• Distance: ~600–650 km (depending on destination in Kinnaur)

• Travel time: 12–16 hours

• Route: Delhi → Chandigarh → Shimla → Narkanda → Rampur → Reckong Peo → Kalpa/Sangla/Chitkul

• Hire a taxi from Delhi or Shimla

• Take an overnight Volvo to Shimla and continue by bus/taxi

🚌 By Bus

• Take an overnight bus from Delhi to Shimla.

• From Shimla, regular buses run to Reckong Peo, Sangla, and Kalpa.

• This is usually the cheapest option.

Nearest airports:

1. Shimla Airport (~220 km from Kinnaur border)
